Position Overview:

• Company: We are a growing startup developing a telematics gateway for automotive fleet management.
• Gateway functionality: The gateway integrates GPS, accelerometer, LTE modem, OBD-II interface, audio elements, and dual cameras.
• Development Responsibilities: Develop and implement the gateway application, including collecting data from various sources (e.g., video, audio, geolocation, and vehicle data) and transferring it to the fleet management cloud.
• Innovation: Be part of advanced safety and event generation, harnessing AI technology to improve driver and vehicle safety.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize embedded software for telematics gateways and dual-camera systems.
• Implement real-time data collection and communication from sensors (GPS, accelerometers, modems).
• Work with hardware components such as modems, GPS, accelerometers, and camera systems.
• Optimize system performance in embedded Linux environments (BusyBox, RTOS).
• Incorporate AI capabilities into telematics devices for data analysis.
• Collaborate in an agile team to deliver high-performance, mission-critical applications.

Requirements:

• Linux development experience: At least 5 years of experience developing applications and services in Linux-based environments.
• C++ expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience developing C++ applications in a Linux environment.
• Cross-platform development: Experience in cross-platform development.

Advantages:

• Multimedia streaming: Experience with multimedia protocols such as HLS, WebRTC, SRTP, H.264, OPUS, and tools like FFmpeg or GStreamer.
• Telematics systems: Hands-on experience working with telemetry data collection, vehicle OBD-II interfaces, and telematics devices.
• IoT development: Experience developing IoT applications, including data transfer over MQTT or similar protocols.
